About d_a_green

My background includes working as a Data Architect, Database Developer, systems integrator, data exploitation specialist and DBA, as well as tutoring and actively promoting professional development and mentoring. I have been involved in a number of technical User Groups, and occasionally present or blog about topics which interest me. When not facing a computer screen I can be found walking, usually on the moors. I take an interest in my local community and volunteer my time and skills to this end.

SQL Saturday 194

SQL Saturday #194 was held in Exeter in March 2013.

This very successful event was one of the first UK SQL Saturday events, and was hosted by the SQL South West User Group.

Please come back for announcements about future SQL Saturday events hosted by the SQL South West User Group.

SQL South West User Group

SQL South West is a chapter of the Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS)

PASS Chapter

If you are working with data in any way and are interested in meeting other data professionals in the South West then please contact us.

We are a group of DBAs and developers from Cornwall, Devon and Somerset who get together in Exeter once a month to talk about anything data-related – SQL Server / Python / PowerShell / CI / Azure / CosmosDB /you name it we’ll include it. If you live or work in the South West of the UK or are in the area on business or holiday then we’d be happy to see you.

The group is for anyone working with data (big or small) or anyone interested in starting to work with it. You may be a full time DBA or developer or someone looking to understand SQL Server things more clearly or maybe you are the person that didn’t run fast enough when the last DBA left.
